    hi all,

How download historical data intraday with Esignal for Tradestation2000I ?

    Thx.

  2. Hi,

1 way is UniServer http://tssupport.com/products/uniserver/. UniServer allows to download the history data provided by eSignal directly into the GlobalServer. All you need to do is select the appropriate symbols in GlobalServer and historical data for those symbols will be downloaded directly to GlobalServer. You can fill the gaps with high-quality history data downloaded from eSignal servers.

2 way is Ondemand Server http://www.traders-soft.com/ts/ods/index.htm. OnDemand Server is the eSignal data on-demand solution for Tradestation. OnDemand Server allows to access historical and real-time data provided by eSignal in on-demand mode. All you need is to enter the symbol name in the 'Create Chart' window and you'll receive a chart for the required period that will be refreshed in real-time mode.

3 way is DynaLoader http://www.dynastoresoftware.com/Dynaloader/. Dynaloader for eSignal is the software program that allows users of Omega TradeStation 2000i to download the history data provided by eSignal* and to prepare it for importing into Global Server of Omega package.

By the way, a small announcement from me. Sometime around New Year the second version of UniServer is due out. The program will include such features as: Automatic search and filling of gaps, Incoming data filtering capabilities and Downloading the data from a ASCII files directly direct into GlobalServer. Hope those additional features will be useful to our customers. The new version of UniServer will be sold along with the old one, but for a higher price. All users of UniServer will get UniServer2 completely free, so anybody planning to buy the program, consider doing it now.

Does anyone know of other options? Uniserver seems like a nice program assuming it works but $100+ *per year* seems a little excessive imo.

  4. QcollectorPro. $80 bucks or so - once, not every month.

You build folders of tickers & timeframes and the software downloads in seconds. Can save as Metastock, A-Get, TS, ASCII & Excel formats.

A one-time fee seems much more reasonable. Do you know if you have to import each symbol into Globalserver one-by-one or can it save the data in a way in which everything is updated all at once? (This might be more a limitation of Globalserver than it is of QCollectorPro.)

  6. Just one question: how are you going to import ASCII files created by Qcollector into the GlobalServer? On the other hand UniServer allows to download the data provided by eSignal directly into the GlobalServer and other related products allow to create xpo (omega export format) files.

  7. Since UniServer is a subserver, it's interface is fully integrated and compatible with GlobalServer. All you need to do is select the appropriate symbols in GlobalServer portfolio and historical data for those symbols will be downloaded directly to GlobalServer.

I agree that the best selling point of Uniserver is that it is integrated with Globalserver. If it does what it says and loads everything in the background behind the scenes without aggravation, then I would say it's probably the best program out there for TS2000i and PS2000i users.

Yeah, esignal *may* release an update that'll require new developments to your program, but you know there will be no changes to PS2000i. So I don't understand why traders are being charged a yearly subscription fee for a program that basically needs no updating.
