It is a local problem. You have no data to support.

  7. Hillary did not have as much enthusiasm as you might think... people disliked her vehemently on both sides. If GOP had a more "normal" candidate (dont think there was one in that pool in 2016) the race would have been a lot more lopsided in favor of the Rep candidate. Trump's fucktardedness made the race closer and also made people so fed up with both of them they voted for 3rd parties in large numbers that actually swung a few key states away from Hillary.

For many dems, Hillary was not trump and a bitter pill to swallow... i never liked her and she acted like the nomination was supposed to be handed down to her from the heavens rather than earn it.

  9. Enthusiasm for her was not high, but it was higher than that of Biden’s. Some celebrities were very enthusiastic about her. Elites wanted to coronate her in the primaries. Some women were very enthusiastic. A lot of it was manufactured rather than organic, but there was some that was organic, particularly among older left-leaning women. Some were nostalgic for her, because of her time as First Lady where she worked on children’s healthcare. She was also more off-putting to a lot of people than Biden. She was more polarizing. Many saw her as condescending/elitist. Similar to Bloomberg in a way. However, no doubt sexism/insecurity plays a role. Women are held to a higher standard as many male voters don’t want to feel talked down to by a woman. There was basically zero enthusiasm for Biden. There never has been. At least as an inspirational figure. In 2008 he had about 1% before dropping out. In 2020, voters wanted somebody else, but nobody could breakout. It was similar to 2012 with Romney where there were a bunch of flavor of the weeks, except there was no Sanders type (who actually has enthusiastic supporters) in that race. Biden’s support was 100% about stopping Trump. What Biden lacks in inspiration he makes up for by seeming like a nice guy who’s civil. If you juxtapose that against Trump, it’s easy to see why most people would take Biden.

Okay, lets start with the Senate.

In the Senate there were 35 races. The Democrats won 14 races the Republicans won 20. There is 1 run off.

    14 < 20, GOP WIN
