2MM/year and you get a call option with no downside. To not be willing to do it for anything else, you must be making 5MM year on your own money.

That's impressive. Probably one of the best track records on here....

  2. As you do not know the answer to this question it should be clear to even the dumbest on this site that your numbers are fake.

How does funding sound to you? What if someone gives you 100million USD intraday funding? Are you gonna be able to generate more than 10% return on that? Because anything north of that will exceed what you currently claim you are making. Why do you think there are some of the world's best traders working at hedge funds? They make 4--600k in base, and can pull down bonuses north of a 100 million. I am not talking about the hedge fund principals but salaried traders.

An entirely different story would be if you traded algorithms. The contentious issue there is that you take a risk of code theft as soon as your code crosses the door steps.

  3. I don't understand your remark that my numbers are fake. What is fake, that I would need to be offered at least 2M$ before I would stop trading on my own account ?

There's nothing fake about that. I'm mid career in my life. I'm not saying I would never do it, trade for a fund. I'm just saying that profitable traders are not jumping ship for the numbers posted in this thread.

It's also not only money in life. Living were I live now and living how I live now is for me personally not comparable to life in the city (london) in a 2 bedroom apartment or new york with no toys to play with or time to play with my toys, while kissing ass of somebody I prefer to ignore. Life is all about choices, not only money counts.

But you would sell all that for 2MM.

  7. thanks again for the replies.

I have been traveling a bit and wanted to share some feedback I have discovered and found on this topic.

How does one manage traders? or really anyone?

it comes down to Humility and Relationship.

Not holding on too tight, getting out of their way, and out of my own way.

Providing an environment where the trader can get better, and ultimately realizing that eventually they will outgrow this opportunity.

Given the foregoing, I would at the very least provide these proven traders thereafter another opportunity to run their own fund and myself be their first investor.

At the end of the day, it is not about you or the money, it is about the quality of the relationship and continuing to grow as a trader and serve a purpose to something other than yourself.

LOL, that's is pretty funny actually. I can see you never owned businesses before and worked with employees. Oh, I don't draw a salary, so guess I should pay them nothing? I don't believe in religions cause God didn't make them, people like you did, bet you voted for Obama too.

I don't tell jokes, I just read other folks posts and laugh all the way to the bank. And since I have no relatives, when I croak, 99% will go to Homeless Shelters in my area and those close to home. But tell you what, in my will I will give you 99 pennies cause you ain't worth a buck. ROFLMAO

At the starting stage by looking at their performance itself you would come to know if you really need to continue managing that trader or not so further things would just get on well provided the trader is honest and good.
