As I said it, I personally experienced socialism, have you? Still waiting for your explanation of socialism. Meanwhile, Toxic water crisis: A Florida finale of horror or leadership? Where We Stand http://www.orlandosentinel.com/opinion/os-ed-florida-water-disasters-20160717-story.html ....... Gov. Rick Scott has responded to the Treasure Coast algae outbreak by declaring a state of emergency in three counties.... ..... Scott and other leaders in Florida have fought off efforts from federal regulators to toughen the state's water-quality standards. This year, the Legislature passed, and Scott quickly signed, a water-policy bill that essentially allows major agricultural producers — whose fertilizer use is a top contributor to water pollution — to police themselves. ...... This is what police themselves pure capitalism would look like.
Let's start by averaging the lines in the chart I posted above. Do you think that it's fair that the very wealthy have gained so much more relative to all of us other poor lazy ten dollar hamburger buying peons?
The same thing with the banks, the shadow banking system and Wall St in '08. They were allowed to police themselves. They would never do anything stupid or illegal. Lack of regulation of the financial sector allowed the most harmful economic occurance in the last fifty years or so. And the rich have rebounded very well. Everyone else, not so much.
No, not until you answer my questions above. Forget the word fair. The chart I posted above. Does it bother you at all? Is that just fine? Is it OK that the wealth gap becomes greater and greater? What if all the US wealth is in the hands of a few people? No problem with that?
I specifically said that this is what pure capitalism looks like - basically no rules, every man for himself. I said that the society is best benefited when both systems are used together capitalism/socialism. You said several times that I do not understand what socialism is. Please explain in your next response. Do not ask another question, just simply state your understanding of socialism or stay quiet if you have nothing to back your words with.
It is very clear now that you do not understand pure capitalism either. Capitalists are not against rules and regulations. We are opposed to abusive and overly constricting regs.
