3. I'm not so sure about that theory.
After all, the extreme left and extreme right both hate Hitler, Bin Laden, and YOU.

4. Problem is the Clintons are more concerned about making "history" than doing what's best for the country. However, I can't blame them entirely, as making history is what our politics has become. Can anyone honestly say that Clinton, Obama, or McCain are the best we have to offer? Are they even the best of those who started the primaries? Of course not! Dems may make some history if Obama loses to McCain this November. Losing what should have been a sure thing has got to go down in history as one of the most colossal fuck ups of all time.
We're in for a rough ride regardless of which one of these numb skulls gets the final nod.

5. Let's see, you bring up Hitler and your obsessive ax grinding developed as a result of someone pointing out your drug addiction.

Pavlov must have run the bell twice...

6. Oh puleeeeze, the Clintons are not alone in their lust for power and going down in "history."

Everyone who is running for president is an ego maniac who lies and panders to get presidential power.

They all want the same prize.

All are career politicians.

7. IMO an Obama/Shrillary ticket would absolutely trounce McCain.

Failing that, as the Zzzzenutroll and Doc Zhivodka have pointed out, BO's next best chance is to have a white, ex-military guy like Webb or Clark as his running mate.

BO needs to counter McCain's strongest asset - his military/POW background - in order to win or at least level the public perception that McCain will be far better on security.

All in all, this fall from grace for the Clintons has been absolutely stunning. Just a year ago she was the presumptive next CIC. Now she's a loser harpie begging to be second fiddle, and Bill has morphed from all-around man about town philanthropist to bitter and angry boy toy of Gina Gershon. Classic....

8. Yeah, isn't it great to see?

I despise the Clintons. I don't hate Dems (I am an Indy), I just hate the Clintons.

9. I know! Who could have possibly predicted such an incredibly surprising turn of events? :p

I'm planning on starting a 'Journals' section thread to collect all of my ET predictions in one place, and tabulate my batting average. We petty narcissists are totally into that sort of thing, you know.

Here's one more, just to pad my record a little: VZ will gap down tomorrow morning. Official RM prediction. It didn't sell off nearly enough yet on that Alltel buyout news. This isn't a useless call either btw, since the ECN's are still open for another half hour. It may only drop about $0.25 or so... But for VZ, that's a huge move.

10. If I were advising Obama, I would tell him to spike the Clinton nonsense immediately. Just give a simple speech or in a press conference say how very much he admires both Clintons but doesn't think the VP fit would be right. that he appreciates her offer to serve but that he thinks she can contribute much more elsewhere.

He would piss off some of her rabid supporters, but it would make him look masterful and powerful. He would have just swatted her away like a fly. Nice try, Hillary.

I would be surprised if he picks any of the fake conservative democrats like that jerk Webb or Gen. Wesley Clark. Obama is a creation of the extreme left and no way are they going to go along with anyone but a committed liberal. Probably a governor from a battleground state. Also, a testosterone laden military guy would accentuate one of Obama's biggest problems, his wimpyness.

By comparison, McCain has a much more difficult choice. The conservative base is expecting someone to their liking, like Gov. Mark Sandford of SC. I suspect that McCain would love to pick his buddy, Joe Lieberman. He knows the media would eat it up. Lieberman would be anathema to conservatives, but they already hate McCain.
