If I could, I would pay $99 for those numbers.

    Notes:

The theoretical network limit is 137.42 Mbps

The NDT server has a 127.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 26.10 Mbs

Your PC/Workstation has a 63.0 KByte buffer whiich limits the throughput ;to 6.52 Mbps

The network based flow control limits the throughput to 9.48 Mbps.

I agree with this, but FWIW pay for Comcast 8mbit ($45/month) in Denver and at night routinely download 20-30mb files @ 1.2-1.4mb/s ( 9.6mbit-11mbit) from major servers (ex Adobe.com) for the entire length of the download. Typical speeds are around 1mb/sec.

The two choices I have are ATT DSL and Comcast Cable, neither of which offer speeds higher than 8mbit down.

I am willing to pay more than what they charge me, but there is no alternative like what you guys have. No FIOS, or anything else.

pretty big difference between miranda and speakeasy on download speed. exactly what i was expected.you have to run and compare those tests on at least 2-3 servers from NDT servers and compare them to speakeasy @ same time, cause you have shared network and speeds may vary from day to day. make sure, you not using internet for anything else during the test.
