On a couple markets (main culprits I follow are the dollar index and eurodollar) the bid/ask volume is very high, often ranging in the 300-500 range. Yet there can be 2-3 tick spreads and fills are laggy just like in the lower volume markets, which the total volume suggests. This leads me to believe the bid/ask volume is wrong. Does anyone else see the bid/ask volume numbers I'm mentioning? If so I wonder what is going on.
