  3. Hi Nemesis,

Michael Patak had a question-and-answer thread here on ET at the site below:

    http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=248456

Also, several traders on this board and at other popular forums have taken the combine and a few have passed it. Some of them kept journals of their combine experience. The two most interesting journals I have read so far are shown below.

    https://www.bigmiketrading.com/trading-journals/27004-trading-fast-markets.html

    https://www.bigmiketrading.com/trading-journals/26542-kevin-s-topsteptrader-combine-journal.html

Best of luck in your search.

  5. Forget about a solid, funded live account. TopstepTrader, or the company Patak Trading Partners, backs you financially with almost nothing. What they do is to provide you with a $0 account with a small loss limit, from $1,500 to $4,500 depending on your successfully completed test-account.

On the other hand, take the risk with a small fee, get training and get the ability to trade a live account with a lose limit ten times bigger than your fee. An example: It costs about $200 to try a test that gives you an account with a loss limit of $2,000, – if you pass. You then need to make a profit of $5,000 without losing more than $1,000 in a week and $2,000 in total.

Read this in a review. what a dud. i really thought i'd get a 150k USD backing lol, of course too good to be true.
not what i was looking for,
a 1500 -3000 usd daily loss limit is ok for a beginning,
but a 4500 usd max drawdown is a dud
    out if you lose twice.
    well maybe worth one shot

rather have a 30k USD funded account any day over this

any trader trading live at topsteptrader?? i guess not. good model for a firm :D,

Hehe comments like this are why people were laughing at your first post.

Topstep doesnt go by dollar figures, they give u 5 contract buying power.., then up it to 10, etc...trust me, if you have good results...they are not going to hold you back my friend.

This coming from the guy who has a neurotic breakdown from trading his own 30k account? Come on dude, get real. No one is going to back you. Enough of this charade. You're too scared to back yourself but you want people to fall over backwards to back you so you can swing crude oil around? I actually think YOU are the one trolling.

  8. why did you say that they would back me with a 150k usd account in the first place, when you knew it wasnt true.

i had no problems passing their tests.
but for a 3k max drawdown? i already have better options.
maybe i give it a try for fun if and when i am free.
some other time i might have made a bet with you, passing their test for a 30k usd live account. but i want to get serious into trading, its been an year since i have made significant money.( tempted if you increase amount from 30k )

Neurotic breakdown? hell no i am pretty comfortable taking a risk, despite this being all of my savings since i was sure i wouldnt lose and i didnt.

I knew most who read this post would react like you (people who are good at trading dont really waste time writing 18k posts on some forum) but i need only one guy who will listen to logic and take a risk :p.

PS: no more bullshit arguments or trolling, i got 4 years statements to back me up, i bet they can beat yours any day.
PPS: any one serious about this can pm me and we can discuss this further. i wouldnt be disclosing my statements/firms i have worked with/or strategies in public.

Dude, I never said they would let you LOSE 150k of THEIR money. The account IS a 150k account of which they are willing to eat about 20k to 25k in losses. Basically 5 times the max drawdown over several runs. Personally I wouldn't let you waste $100 of my money much less 25k, but you should be jumping out of your clothes at the idea of someone eating 25k losses. There is a reason dude you are on an internet forum begging for money. If you truly had the goods you would have a resume and an interview. I suspect your resume is a black piece of paper.

  10. well 25k is a very good amount .
if so i apologise for my comments above.
better wait for their reply before continuing this further -no point wasting time for the both of us.

in my defense it just said 3k max drawdown though.
and you just seemed like a troll from the begin(still do)
