no kidding, they use to write these same articles back in the 70's but back then they were getting an eighth, maybe a quarter now it's just a penny or less things have gotten faster, but nothing has changed
For a number of reasons I'm back to futures (stock index and testing waters in CL)... Didn't find SIF's to be any harder than back in 2006, when I traded them last time.
