Hey. "This Occupy Wall Street" thing is starting to grow.

I saw a clip of a protester being interviewed by a reporter.

Reporter: What do you want to replace capitalism with?

    Protester: .................(stunned silence)

The protester was speechless. I LOL.

  2. The problem isn't capitalism, it's unregulated capitalism - as in monopolies and absolute concentration of wealth (and power).

  3. I've heard a lot of these kids saying they're protesting the influence Wall St. has on the US gov't. I think it's a legitimate concern for young Americans who are wondering what their country is evolving into.

If we head into depression surely the thievery of Wall St. and their phony subprime bullshit will be a major factor. The banks are sitting on trillions that they can't loan because they can't be sure they'll get their money back - there are too many people out there screwed on their mortgages.

This looks more and more like 1929 with the concentration of wealth and the velocity of money at near-zero.

I think the main reason the banks aren't lending is because they can borrow from the FED at an extremely low rate then just go buy Treasuries with the money and make a profit with no risk and on money that isn't even theirs. So, why should they take the risk of making loans?

I am starting to notice something. At least in Chicago for the "occupiers", at the beginning they looked like a bunch of homeless kids and runaways with cheap cardboard signs. NOW, it's changing guys. The preppy kids are showing up with their new laptops. It's getting sophisticated. In other words, they are getting funding! Thanks George Soros! The money from the left is pouring in and the homeless kids are being pushed aside and it's now officially becoming an "operation". I'm watching this transform everyday as I walk by them.

Basically the same thing that happened to the tea party is now happening here. How ironic is it that the big money is now coming in to protest the "big money". Only in America kids, only in America!

Preppy kids with laptops already had funding before any of this started.
