Why not do both, thin channels and the longer view. Your thin channels seem to make up the traverses of the longer ones. I'm gonna try it tomorrow.

  3. ...the point is that my chart is just plain stupid. What I failed to do adequately, which is on my checklist, is to periodically compress the one minute chart into the perspective it will have at the end of the day. IMO this does wonders for getting oriented to what kind of day is evolving. In retrospect it clearly was the kind of gently rolling day you see in Hurst's book, with fast cycles weaving around a slow cycle. See the attachment to see what I mean. IMO it offers a view that the 5 minute obscures.

He's stated he doesn't start threads, but offers his critique when he sees mistakes. He likes to jump in and out it.

  6. Wow, it's Laz... this is a veritable roll call from my binder of posts.

Hypo... you've done a really good job beating the drum and
calling the - as you put is - "Jacker Slackers" forth on ET :D.

  7. ...performed in this three-ring circus today, thank you so much. There is no substitute IMO for posting in the heat of the chase with rough and ready screen shots that can't hide what your trading problems are. Very brave of you, Nasdorq.

And as for you, Laziz, my style is a perfectly respectable method of composition known in the trade as "stream of unconsciousness". Never EVER do I mean to be funny, it's just that what I think is so wildly inappropriate or offbeat that it is perceived by saner folk as intended to be humorous. You obviously have never spent much time in a psych ward where the inmates routinely tongue their meds. I suspect that a prop trading room with young guys like you all probably are isn't much different.

  8. ...my intention was to play the fool and get some free trading mentoring. Few competent people can resist coming to the aid of a helpless idiot. But there is a lesson here regarding the psyche of ET. Start a thread out seriously, and it will quickly deteriorate into foolishness. Start it out foolishly, and you at least have some hope of it lasting long enough to make it serious. I know whereof I speak, as I use a multitude of other sobriquets for my serious postings, and those threads invariably fall mute like bumblebees in a cold snap.

  9. I don't post any more but I still come back to distract reading from times to times with Grob and Hypostomus :p

Now I can go to bed - earlier since I spare my time from posting on elite :D

  10. I deleted my last post as I think it will not add to the thread. Good Luck. It is well worth the effort.
