    Def, I don't think most traders view B/D internalization as always negative. There is definitely an opportunity for price improvement in that scheme.

    But what you leave out in your replies here is any reference to Timber Hill.

    Please just explain why the various disclosures about Timber Hill do not meet IB's definition of internalization.

    It seems as though the disclosures suggest that there are various ways Timber Hill might participate in an IB customer trade--through automatic execution on SmartRouting or via BOX, for example. Why don't you consider this participation by Timber Hill as internalization?
