I'd be in favor of something like this (so we are on the same page) however this does not address the argument that "an equal delay" would solve the problem. 777 is avoiding this question becuase its not possible and its idiotic. I also find it very ironic that the vast majority of people in this thread hating on HFT #1 don't fully understand it and #2 are the ones getting F*CK3D over by your retail broker internalizing order flow. You guys/gals complaining are the ones getting screwed because you choose to send your orders to the HFT bots - if you routed direct to an exchange (if everyone did) then there would be no more internalziation and "HFT screwing you over" as you know it.
