I am not a techno dude, but I have found whole threads from this site posted on other sites, really really weird. I did not know that could be done http://www.financevisor.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=175046&p=19 The Ever Astounded VIPER
Yeah, unfortunately there are many scraper sites like financevisor that do nothing but steal content from other sites like ours.
Two features(standard everywhere) request: 1. While quoting a post, it should automatically have a link to original post 2. "Search all threads by this user" option in a user's profile
Assuming this company is ni your country (eg, USA), You can get a court order to cease-and-desist. Maybe even get their website closed. This is copyrighted material, and you can sue for damages. And in this modern world, you can probably sue in your hometown court, and if you (will obviously) win, there are parties that will go into the business/home of the owners in other cities, and impound their property to satisfy the damages award. You can usually get the contact information from the site owner via doing a WhoIs.com on them. This is what I got on FinanceVisor.com. They are registered via GoDaddy and either owned by or website designed by Ipiya.com, and you can probably extract personal information via presentation of a "court" type letter Registrant: Web Master 1107 Fair Oaks Ave., #484 South Pasadena, California 91030 United States Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc.
