Does anyone know where they sell Herman Miller chairs in Chicago? I want to sit in one before I spend the 700 dollars to buy it! Thanks
I've seen them at the Great Indoors and Costco (don't remember which models though). I got my Aeron from http://www.sit4less.com/ a couple years ago and have been very happy with it
For whatever its worth, Ive sat in a couple at a Design Within Reach studio. Pretty damn comfy. http://www.dwr.com/category/find+a+studio.do A couple local spots for you, you could try one out. lol and despite posting a link but not having 2943759873 posts, I swear Im not a schill for some furniture company. *edit, Ha too late

I always found it interesting that the New York Public library of the Performing Arts outfitted the entire building (every floor) with Herman Millers. Taxpayer money at work
Have you seen this: http://dack.com/misc/aeron.html The videos are a great - I can relate to every issue they complain about
When I was shopping for a chair several years ago, I started with the Aeron as my primary target. However, after reading the feedback on several sites, I made sure I tested one extensively. The "Rock-hard waterfall front edge cuts off circulation to legs" was a major issue for me. I then went on a mission to test-drive (or test-sit) in all of the top chairs. Ended up with a Steelcase Leap chair. Best money I ever spent (or close). R
