  2. An interesting thread! :) Is it not amazing that "There are more losers than winners in Trading", yet many more people keep trying out trading? What is the magic? Why do people join trading if they know they are going to lose. Besides, is it really true there are more losers than winners or is it based on individual expectations, meaning "X expected $1K but got less", does this mean X is a loser?

  3. Just wanted to know whether the 90% of the users traded with or without system? Does the figures include those who trade with system only or does it incluse those who trade without system?

  4. The problem of whether you can be profitable is only part of the problem. For how long ? And how much money can you make ?
Among the 10% that make it over a year , probably 90% of those get out sometime later. After you traded for yourself fulltime for a few years, it's likely you can never get another job again .

  5. I thought the most interesting thing was the post above that said 3% make over 50K in a year.

Imagine the number who are making a killing. Like less than 1%?

People confuse "90% of losers" means 10% are winners. The reality is, most of those "winners" are breaking even or making small amounts.

  6. Probably more than 90% lose! I bet alot of those guys were new 1st year traders. I bet prop shops have a huge turnover rate people go there lose money and give up and I think thats great! Trading is not easy takes hours of dedication therefore I'm not surprised by what i saw!

  10. only the "3%" is meaningful, so it's safe to say 97% of day traders fail in this business.

On the bright side, those who made it are making decent money. This just wipes out the constant rumors that one ET resident poster (traderzone) keeps spreading: you will never make it, you will lose all your money, you will never come out of this alive, none of you make money, you are all lying about your profit........
