I guess shes trying to get some sympathy for herself like she tried to get sympathy for her slave holding grandfather who killed himself after the war because he couldn't keep his slaves. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/f-l9qhmHYXM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Walmart, Home Depot and Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced that they were ending affiliations with the celebrity chef just hours after she told Matt Lauer: 'I is what I is and I'm not changing.' Deen's $18 million business empire has been unraveling since she become embroiled in a racial controversy after a former employee testified that she had heard Deen, 66, repeatedly use the N-word and talk of how she wanted to have a plantation-themed wedding for her brother with an all-black serving staff to emulate slaves. Walmart, the world's largest retailer issued a statement Wednesday afternoon saying it will not place 'any new orders beyond what's already committed.' The discounter has carrying Paula Deen-branded products at all of its U.S. namesake stores since 2011. Caesars has Deen-themed restaurants - Paula Deen's Kitchen - in four of its casinos in Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina and Mississippi. 'While we appreciate Paula's sincere apologies for statements she made in her past that she recently disclosed during a deposition given in response to a lawsuit, after thoughtful consideration of their impact, we have mutually decided that it is in the best interests of both parties to part ways at this time,' said Jan Jones Blackhurst, executive vice president of communications and government affairs for Caesars Entertainment. The four restaurants will be rebranded in the coming months, according to the statement.
after a former employee testified that she had heard Deen, 66, repeatedly use the N-word and talk of how she wanted to have a plantation-themed wedding So now what? Give this former employee a medal? We are a society of tattle tales. Is it really necessary to go to the press with every nit picking thing? What was accomplished re Deen? This former employee, was he /she black and harmed?
I've been thinking about this and can only take a guess. Probably there's a clause in their employment contract which requires them to apologize before they give you your last check and kick you like a dog.
We should just have a "N- word" anonymous. People could attend meetings and talking about how using the N word immpacts their life.
Anxiously awaiting ak's condemnation and of course big zero will need to be crucified in the media and ostracized in the business community. He'll also need to grovel with multiple teary eyed apologies.
LOL, AK47, the racist who enjoys calling black people uncle toms trying to call out other peoples racism, now thats rich.
An uncle tom is someone who participates in the oppression of their own race or group and applies to any race. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle_Tom The phrase "Uncle Tom" has also become an epithet for a person who is slavish and excessively subservient to perceived authority figures, particularly a black person who behaves in a subservient manner to white people; or any person perceived to be a participant in the oppression of their own group. The negative epithet is the result of later works derived from the original novel.
