  1. Surprise, surprise. Another frivolous lawsuit brought to you by Race Bating Inc. and their willfully ignorant partners in the MSM. The damage has been done to this woman, which is all that matters to the slugs who push this crap.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A federal judge Monday threw out race discrimination claims by a former Savannah restaurant manager whose lawsuit against Paula Deen has already cost the celebrity cook a valuable chunk of her culinary empire.

Lisa Jackson sued Deen and her brother, Bubba Hiers, last year saying she suffered from sexual harassment and racially offensive talk and employment practices that were unfair to black workers during her five years as a manager of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House. Deen is co-owner of the restaurant, which is primarily run by her brother.

But claims of race discrimination by Jackson, who is white, were gutted in the 20-page opinion by U.S. District Court Judge William T. Moore Jr. The judge agreed with lawyers for Deen and Hiers that Jackson has no standing to sue her former employers for what she claims was poor treatment of black workers, regardless of her claims that she was offended and placed under additional stress.

Jackson, at best, "is an accidental victim of the alleged racial discrimination," Moore said in his ruling. "There are no allegations that defendant Hiers's racially offensive comments were either directed toward plaintiff or made with the intent to harass her."

  2. I'm sorry to have to say this about Paula Deen, but I indeed took notice to very obvious disinterest whenever African American folks would try to eat at Uncle Bubbas. I spent so many weeks of my summers and vacations during college there, that I did notice that whenever these individuals would show up they would be given less than stellar service, like cold rolls, meals that would take 5 minutes to bring out, would take 20, and in other ways a complete lack of service for what I felt sorry to observe was mostly that type of discrimination in that restaurant.

I'm not saying it was obvious, just that if someone is not eating the rolls that they served there which were usually delicious and hot, this particular male gentleman I did observe receiving what appeared to be an unwelcoming experience at the Uncle Bubbas Oyster house.

This is not a lie, but my then girlfriend who became wifey for a time noticed the exact same thing and drew my attention to it. I'm sorry to say, but the accusations regarding racism are particularly related to that Oyster house, and I witnessed such discrimination though not very obvious as observant as I am I can say I do notice these things in the dirty South, and that was one especially dirty place but it made the best king crab and shrimp I've ever tasted. Just too bad that those experiences were given less priority if you were black, than if you were white.

AK47 you are a racist as your posts clearly indicate that somehow indirect obfuscation and statements in the third person do not cover up your evil sentiment that is particularly shared in the White Supremicist groups you probably sympathize with. Ironically, the same sort of discrimination that Federal Courts cannot recognize without cost even if she did follow due process, exactly as we have here.

I grew up not knowing what racism was, until I found such offense to every black child I went to school in Inner City Springfield Illinois but it was never so much that I didn't like to work with them, as much as their collective attitudes in the school was always white versus black, because of all the drive by shootings there. Once I had moved to sanctity of Christian Children Theologencia in the area supremely calmed my fears of the aggression many black children had towards white children who especially seemed always deeply offended by successful white children they deemed to always be spoiled, despite having the most ethical parents anyone could ever ask for.

I despise these conversations because merely by participating you share your thoughts when it is an unknowable attitude that bears out whether a person is racist or not, and clearly my own observance to the restaurant indicates not only were employees that way but many customers of other than Caucasian origin were treated with such disrespect that I know Paula Deen is the sweetest woman and obviously her brother has racism issues so if that hurt her empire to have a brother befall this kind of chicanery, I'm glad my girlfriends uncle was able to get his Bubbas recipes for a very large amount of money and a nice run up and down the coastline in his yacht.

  3. So who really pays the price for these frivolous lawsuits about racism? Costs Paula a buck or two, but she'll be OK. Not that it's right, but she'll survive. The real cost is to the black community.
I'll tell you something no corportate exec will ever say. Something no HR Manager will ever say. Something you will never hear discussed.
We often hear the question posed by the race baiters and the leftists, why does a black guy need to be twice as qualifed as a white guy to be considered for the job? Well, here's why. If the white guy turns out to be a fuck up...out the door asshole. Next. Black guy turns out to be a loser...you're stuck with him. Logical conclusion. Don't hire minorities.
The Left and Race Baiting Inc. will call this racism. It's not! It's the result of playing the race card where there is no racism. Tens of thousands of good and decent black people suffer as a result. Another kick in the nuts brought to you by the radical left.

Pretty soon it's going to be even harder to fire a homosexual.

It's already difficult to fire individuals who are in a "protected class". I had to go through training about a year ago on this. I wasn't even aware of protected classes, at least not in the sense they were talking about. Any minority, woman, or sexual preference individual (harder to sue on that because it's usually not openly apparent) and white men over 40. Extra diligence is done with individuals in those groups.

I have no clue as i have never eaten at this restaraunt but one thing i will say is black people in general do not tip servers, this is common knowledge among anyone who works in the service industry, so they are partly to blame for their own shitty service, but it almost becomes a self full filling prophecy, they dont tip, so they get bad service, but then they dont tip cause of bad service and the cycle repeats.

  8. Well, as a white man over 40, err over 60, I think I deserve protection from the evil corporate thugs.:D
Bottom line, if someone, anyone, is walking around all day looking to be offended/persecuted, we've got BIG problems.
