  2. His scientific work is/was very important and "worth studying," regardless of one's views on his politics.

  3. With the proliferation of internet, cell phones, print and electronic media, any type of hegemony will have awkward repercussions and collateral damage.

  4. What are you crazy!? If we were all on the same page 10% of us would disagree! And you're totally wrong! It's not that Cambridge/Harvard doesn't carry much weight with us traders, it's that those colleges don't guarantee someone will be a good trader and that's what matters to us. Try to keep it straight will you? I hate having to correct everyone's errers.

    " I hate having to correct everyone's errers. "

for you,it is the equivalent of the white man's burden that u have to correct everyone's errors. u obviously have broad shoulders.

your modesty is showing. you purposely misspelled errors to show everybody that you are not perfect. it is a very subtle and clever move.

Oldtime. Just to let you know, I liked your post. It summarized nicely the problems with these discussion on ET. Two people arguing when they actually agree, but don't realize it. :)

Just wondering then, do you see anything inconsistent between his living well and charging a fee to give a lecture and his political philosophy? I don't.

Funny and provocative, this 1992 documentary explores the political life and ideas of Noam Chomsky, a world-renowned linguist, intellectual and political activist. Chomsky illustrates how the media tacitly manipulates public opinion to further the agendas of the powerful. A compelling examination of the suppression of news about the U.S. supported Indonesian invasion and subjugation of East Timor brings home the point.
