Fraud, huh. Give me a call when the glacier is back.

    you're absolutely right:

'The (global warming) 'controversy' is significantly more pronounced in the popular media than in the scientific literature,[1][2] where there is a strong consensus that global surface temperatures have increased in recent decades and that the trend is caused mainly by human-induced emissions of greenhouse gases. No scientific body of national or international standing disagrees with this view,[3][4] though a few organisations hold non-committal positions.'

Actually it looks much nicer without the glacier.

  4. One pic was done in the winter, the other was done in the summer. [IMG]

It also shows that this deal is cyclical... because after the glacier goes away... the green comes in... The green eventually eats up all the CO2 and we go back to cooling.

We know warming is cyclical by looking at the ice cores and we know that warming precedes the buildup of CO2 by 800 years.

What we do not know is if man's contribution if any will speed up the cycle and cause the rebound to cooling is faster, slower, something else or have no effect.

  7. Interesting. So (A) we can't do anything about it and (B) its happened before.

I see no reason to worry.

there is zero evidence that we can stop the pattern of warming and cooling, it is what the earth does.

The data shows the earth warms 800 years before CO2 builds....
do you understand the significance of that science?

It means everything else is speculation? Science has no ability to say man causes significant warming... because the earth may be warming anyway.

By the way... for other economic reasons I do believe the environment needs to be better protected. its clear the environment is underpriced as an input.

Just look at what happened in tokyo. If the cost of the clean up or proper storage was incorportated into each unit of electricity sold, society could better allocate its resources using price as the signal.

Its amazing this fact gets ignored by AGW believers. The whole premise to AGW is that man produces carbon, which leads to warming. As you correctly noted, its the exact opposite....temperatures rise well before a rise in CO2. You can prove this in a lab. Warm seawater up, it releases CO2. And they say we ignore the science.
