Everybody says this, but how about we just let all the sh*thole companies fail. We would feel the pain for sure, but our country could get back to being great again sooner rather than 20 years from now after we have been declared the United States of Crybabies.

  2. Let it fail; put the criminals in prison where they belong, including and especially that former CEO of GS who is now Sec-T.

  5. This financial mess emphases the need for our new president to be a fiscal conservative. A fiscal conservative who can reduce the size of the government and bring down the national debt as recent history has shown, only a fiscal conservative republican can do. And also someone who can work with the other party, a uniter not a divider.

  6. kinda hard to be 'fiscally conservative' when the government in the last 2 weeks has made bailout commitments that could be as high as 5 trillion when it's all over

on the shortest notice, they're saying 1 trillion

when has the government EVER met a first estimate on something like this?

Isn't that what George W. Bush promised us? Didn't we have a surplus when he was elected?

What we've ended up with is a bunch of "don't tax & spend" Republicans.

  10. that's my whole point

enormous financial expense of the cold war, and risk of nuclear holocaust, only to internally adopt communism with risk of economic surrender to communist china
