Hello all, Like most here I use excel to keep track of my positions and trades. Generally each row will have a different trade, some trades (especially with options) however require adjustments. what I would like to do is have each trade associated with a underlying symbol only show up if i hit a plus sign by that symbol. so for instance:

Underlying Symbol Symbol Entry Price Exit Price
    XYZ .XYZ100717C170 123 124
    XYZ .XYZ100717C170 140 135
    ABC .ABC100717C170 15 10

so instead of all the XYZ trades showing at once and taking up space; There would be a plus sign next to XYZ which will open all "XYZ" trades. and when closed only the underlying symbols show.

    Is what I'm asking possible?

I think you can use pivot table to do it.

  3. Click on "Subtotal" (it is under Data in the newer Excel). There are a few options in that you can mess around with and maybe get what you want.

  4. Try Group option under Data menu.

  5. Check this out. I use it to track some long-term position ideas. I don't trade options, but I think there are some option codes available if you search the site. You must become a member first to use the site.
