    Hi All,

I apologize for the distress call, but this is all greek to me! I have been a discretionary trader for a couple of years, but would like to move into completely automated trading (stocks, ETF's, and indexes). I've been reading posts, but being new, and not a programmer, it's been a little difficult to understand and was hoping to get your help!

As I understand it, there are two (maybe three) components needed: a software program that will generate your signals to Buy/Sell automatically, and then a program that will send this signal to the broker to be executed....and third, a broker that will accept the order to execute the trade.

I would really appreciate your ideas and input on all three, as well as any pitfalls, etc!

    Thank you!

    Angel

P.S. a have a friend that will be doing any necessary programming, i just have to do the research!

There are several software/broker alliances which will do this. Check out Esignal or Strategyrunner.
