Help needed to solve computer crashes.

  1. powerfade ... Hit configure and if it isnt obvious which temp is which post a picture.

    Here the first two are my cpu internal measures and the fifth is an external cpu measure.

  2. Thanks kiwi. Mine looks different than yours but I guess I'm looking at "CORE AMD K8" as being the correct value? I have a dual core CPU in this rig, like you, but mine don't seem to be showing up separately.

    I see both my internal drives on there (not my external storage drive though). ACPI... not sure what that is.

  3. core is your cpus version of its temperature

    temp 2 is probably the it871's reading from outside on the cpu
    temp 1 is probably its reading on the mainboard (northbridge?) temp

    Not sure about the others. You will probably find it if you study up on your motherboard.

  5. I received some "crashes" a few weeks ago that were from totally out of the blue. Have never ever experienced this before.

    I opened up the computer and checked my power supply unit ( which tested fine ) and blew out a lot of dust, and also re-inserted" my memory sticks and video cards.

    Seemed to do the trick.
