Acacia or another quality soluble fiber source before all meals -- 5g in water. The fiber signals CNS "fullness" and improves serum HDL/LDL ratio. A quality lentil soup is loaded with fiber and protein. The acacia and lentil soup should be a staple in the diet. Alessi's Sicilian Lentil is my favorite for taste, but it's loaded with [Na]. 30g daily of soluble fiber should be the goal. It signals fullness and thus suppresses appetite. Plus, it's cardiocirculatory protective. Quality calories [and a reduction thereof] and exercise are the keys to weight loss. There are shortcuts, but most are unwilling or unable to accept the side-effects.
A safe method for rapid weight loss. Targets visceral fat while preserving LBM. This is a transformation/cutting diet. 1. 15-cals/kg daily; 4-6 meals/day 2.. The aforementioned fiber diet; minimum of 30g of soluble fiber sourced from acacia, lentil, and other high fiber/protein sources; beans and legumes. The metabolic benefit as well as caloric requirement of fiber digestion/metabolism is very high -- hence the term, "quality calorie". 3. Branched Chain Amino Acid [BCAA] supplementation -- critical to subvert catabolism, maintain T3 output and LBM under sub-maintenance intake.
Hardcore method: 1. Diet as above, but 10-cals/Kg 2. 300 mcg/kg Oxandrolone daily 3. .5 mcg/kg triiodothyronine daily
There's no "safe" method for rapid weight loss. That formula breaks down for people who are only 20 lbs overweight and would result in loss of muscle. It's only for very obese people. A better formula is 12 Cal per lbs of LBM. That works for anyone-- male, female, very obese, slightly overweight, and is safe because it's gradual.
That's way too hardcore for a forum like this. I don't think any suggestions on weight loss should include steroids and T3's.
I know many athletes who have gained muscle on that very regimen, as well as sloppy ETers; Joe Commisso being one of them. The BCAAs at 30g daily is critical. Gradual doesn't work for the majority... as they lack the willpower to continue. The recomp diet offers results, which builds motivation.
