I have gotten some good info from this site and picked up other info from various blogs along the way. Are you able to write code?
Yes I can write code, was a full-time software engineer. Which platform are you using to test, NinjaTrader?
Any advantage over NinjaTrader (which seems to be the most popular)? Also, do you have links to the blogs/threads you were talking about?
Common guys, we have a legit sponsor here @kevinkdog and no one mentions him!? Sounds like a good place to start. https://systemtrader.show/sts-006-k...pion-in-futures-algorithmic-trading/#more-135
Here is what I got after I filtered everything out. Not going to read everything obviously but I will probably pick 1 from each category: Overview of Trading: Market Wizards Interviews with Top Traders by Jack D. Candlestick Course by Steve Nison Learning how to read candlestick charts is pretty useful, this book is a quick read and probably the most practical book on that list. Reminiscences of a Stock Operator wasn't on the list, but if you're planning to day trade you should read this book at least once a year.
I like "The Layman's Guide To Trading Stocks." I'll give a free copy to anyone who wants one so you can't accuse me of pimping! https://www.davelandry.com/freebook/ May the trend be with you! Dave Landry
