Hi Tweaker, What you described is a bit strange. People have been reporting delays in esignal quotes but not missing data. No clue how to explain it. All I can say that esignal feed into Ninja on Eurex seems to be complete and has no delays. redduke
I will give credit where credit is due. We were all but ready to move on from esignal.. Yesterdays fedmeeting would have been the final straw.... Yet somehow esignal was flawless during EXTREME volume... Has something been changed RECENTLY? I fully expected Esignal to take a cra*p per usual but when it did not happen I was in shock. We will be giving esignal ONE MORE CHANCE. But if esignal reverts back to its old self you will be the first to know about it on these boards... For now myself and everyone in my group are extremely happy with how esignal performed yesterday.
Hi, You must have looked at non volume instrument. It behave as it has always behave, lagging, lagging and lagging. On non volume traded instrument or without a corret way to compare it, your statement is not valid. I can prove it was way behing on ES Z7 after the FED anouncement yesterday. Can you ? or your statement is just biased toward esignal ?
Tweaker, I slagged off esignal's customer service and their lack of commitment to improving the product here a week ago and my post got deleted. I'm suprised yours has managed to stay up. Runningbear
For those that are wondering, esignal 10 has resourcing problems. This is one of the reasons its release was delayed for so long. Obviously they just released it anyway without fixing it. You can confirm this by doing a search back through the esignalcentral forums. Runningbear
Yep, whatever Esignal shill moderates this thread deleted my original post, where I said that I was ditching Esignal's garbage feed for TransactAT. Looks like I need to say it again: Esignal's feed was not up to par so I canceled their very expensive service and am now getting my data for free from TransactAT. I'm saving over $1500 on data. No exchange fees, nothing. And I was not happy with Esignal's constant excuses for their lagging data in fast markets. For years it was the same thing, always "we're going to get better because we're bla bla bla." Nothing changed so I voted with my wallet. Delete this post and I'll start a new thread on why Esignal sucks. I don't care if they're paying you off, moderator. This pathetic censorship really ticks me off. opm8
Here is my unbiased view of current esignal status. I am not here to bash a vendor in benefit of another, just showing reality. the signal lags, lags when you most need it Test was made this way 2 Licenses of IRT build 8.9.6 current version (linnsoft) charts software running one with Esignal feed and the other with DTN IQ Feed on SAME Pentium Machine XP Pro (plenty of speed and memory), running parallel, side by side I am not going to the argument which feed runs faster on normal market condition, ie, pre-FED announcement (then I would be biased). Look for yourself, after the FED announcement you can see the behavior of prices on a 1 minute chart volume price charts (like Mkt Delta Charts), the top chart is the Esignal feed and the bottom chart is with DTN IQ Feed. Does anyone see any lag on Esignal ? By the way, exactly same thing happened today after the Liquidity announcement, but this time I was trading and did not knew I a sudden move was coming. LOL Hope this video helps clarify with statement with some proof. If someone can show me a video showing the other way around, I will be the first to Congratulate. Best Tweaker http://www.fea.com.br/FED/FED_EsignavsDTNiqFeed.html http://tinyurl.com/yp84x7 For those that want a copy of the video, drop me an e-mail that I will fwd it. I will delete from a friend FTP in 20-30 days.
runningbear-- opm--- tweaker what do you guys recommend for stocks and futures? cqg? bloomie? thanks in advance
I only trade futures, and I do not use anything else other than TT Xtrader Pro for trading. esignal is ok for charts for non-events like Fed anouncemets and non expected news. LOL
Well thats unbelievable tweaker. My problems were never that bad. I ended up staying with esignal and will not bash dtniq. Through most of my testing esignal was better. The times when esignal just craps out have not happened lately and I'm praying don't anymore. I am still not happy with esignal. My order entry (schonex) blows away esignal all the time and I am pretty much just keeping a spy level 2 box up when i trade next to my other stocks to be ahead of the esignal feed. I will be using zenfire feed which is faster than esignal/dtniq for futures quotes in a few weeks when they fix a major problem. At this time I can not see how much up or down es/nq etc is on day through zenfire. I can only see the price, bid, offer, and this isn't very useful to someone who has been staring at a es quote in +/- format for the last 8 years. My contact at amp futures said this will be fixed in 3-4 weeks.
