Thanks! I hope so too, but real trading is emotionally much harder than demo, and I'm having an emotional time thinking about the emotions of real trading. Hey, I'll show you a chart. Remember the chart I posted in response to your question a while ago? Well, this was live trading, and I did what I was used to doing, I was only going for a few ticks at a time. But if I had only gotten in and stayed in!!!!! That is what I'm working on. I have no idea why it's taken me this long to figure out a good plan for making it work. I think I have it working now in demo. One thing I keep noticing about myself with trading is that I keep thinking in terms of when I get this figured out. That seems to be wrong. I can still sit down at a chart and take all wrong trades IF I TRADE WITHOUT FOLLOWING MY RULES. I have to mentally put myself in the frame of mind that I won't trade taking chances, I won't trade in chop, I won't trade countertrend, I WILL WAIT. The mental game is really weird to me, because it doesn't feel like I'm doing something wrong when I am not following rules. One other thing made a difference: I am using super bright colors for my entry indicators so that I'm less tempted to do my own thing. It's actually been working really well so far. If I try to take a wrong entry, I have to place it in a bright color that is the opposite of the direction I want to trade. I should write a book and call it "Using Brightly Colored Signals for Dummies."
Trading is like art, its unique to every person, I can't give advice because it won't fit the situation. But I have numerous trading tools I've self designed and built and found trading small sizes over a wide diverse range of positions allows for lots of trading, lots of experience, diversification and low stress because although collectively the portfolio is large, individually they are small in size. When I find errors in my methodology due to those positions which consistently underperform, I gradually extract myself. There's lots of randomness in trading, therefore some positions underperforming can next outperform. Generally I enter when something has been not perfoming and once it begins to run, just hold, sit tight. I trade lots of penny stocks which is a dangerous place to be generally speaking.
At least you have a working system that makes you money! I'm still in the dreaming of making money stage!
Repentance? nah... Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention. ..and as I have said before, no kittens were harmed during the making or posting of those pics! The kittens are not dead. Those are Norwegian Blue Kittens. They're not dead, they're resting. The Norwegian Blue prefers kippin' on it's back. They're probably pining for the fjords. Remarkable kittens ain't they squire? Beautiful furige! You mean to say, if not every criteria need be fully accepted, crap dated around Biblical times could be that of the Dragons and Unicorns in the Bible and could still be artifacts from that time? With arguments like that, all you're doing is confirming God belongs in the category of mythical entities with every other imaginary weird thing.
