hedge funds

  1. for any hedge fund managers or anyone knowing about funds...

    i am wondering how long it takes and how hard it is to get a hedge fund together ( before getting clients) ??

    also what licenses are needed ?

    oops, wrong paste, use the search button in upper right corner for "starting hedge fund". It's been dicussed at length.
     

  7. there are different ways to go about putting together a hedgefund. if you go cheap-- it's about 5000.00, if you hire top notch counsel, etc. it will cost about 25,000.00. there are no liscenses required to operate a hedge fund at this time.

  8. Some states do require licenses. At least Series 65 I think.
     

  9. not true. a hedge fund is a private partnership and private partnerships are not controlled by government regulators (yet).
