Interesting article in the FT today: http://www.ft.com/cms/s/67d5daac-f6b7-11db-9812-000b5df10621.html Hedge funds are having issues finding companies in decline they wish to short as private equity groups have been buying out those companies and making them private. In the same FT issue there is an article about how hedge fund DE Shaw is looking to launch a private equity fund. Any thoughts?
