http://finance.yahoo.com/q?d=t&s=RYMSX Does anyone know about this Rydex fund? It's supposed to generate returns "consistent with the return and risk characteristics of the hedge fund universe." I can't find much info on this elsewhere on the web, and I can't get the prospectus to work on the Rydex site. Opinions?
It has underperformed the S&P 500: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?t=2y&s=RYMSX&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=&c=^GSPC However if you don't have the time or skills to actively trade stocks, the Rydex may be a good candidate to buy and hold. As it's long/short, theoretically you can make profits in any market.
