  5. good thing I didn't write the book to try to raise capital--I wrote it to be brutally honest IN ORDER TO HELP OTHERS. So, I prefer the quotes:

"This book is highly entertaining as Timothy does a great job of telling his story with the same kind of speed, focus and energy that he must have taken to whatever computer terminal around the globe he found to sign on, and compete in his financial sport."

"He shares in great detail, but in plain English, many examples of trends he saw and trades he made both scoring big and fouling out."

  7. Why would you call Tim a liar because a reviewer of his book is confused about what % return defines a profit engine?

If you actually read his book, you'll see that he posts his performance, good and bad

  8. Don't worry about the naysayers, they'll all understand soon enough. Speaking of which, I just received what is probably my best review yet, here's a great paragraph:

"An American Hedge Fund is the first book I’d give to somebody if I were trying to interest them in the stock market.

I’ve been talking with some local community colleges about teaching an intro to investments course. If I do, An American Hedge Fund will be the first book we read."

  10. If you looked at my blog for 2 minutes you would see that I am into shorting stocks and hedge funds about as much as Tim is into humility.

    I don't know Tim.

You do this much research on your trades?

    :D
