Buddy--9 firms are interested in working with me for books, speeches, stuff like that. Open your mind---there's many, many ways to make money in the finance industry. Maybe you can find a way to make money based on how many stupid remarks you can make? You'd become an overnight millionaire!
Careful there junior. I live on 5th ave and I see you live in the city too. I can always find my way to your parents studio in Queens and well... BTW junior my trading record boast double digit profits for 12 straight years now. And that's beginning w 7 figures. So i don't need to write a book (not that i can write anyway) No quite the same as your track record is it ? We're differnt animals anyway. you like your ugly mug on camera, while i've turned down numerous offers by the most reputable financial print and media to post my picture when they have featured my trading success in flattering stories. Unfortunately for you , your trading is not one of them.
Perhaps. But you certainly do bring it up with remarkable frequency, don't you? Forgive me, but your assertion lacks fiber. I can say the same thing (although it wouldn't be true in my case). Why should I choose to believe you over anyone else?
yea great comment on the dailyspeculations "Mr Sykes is self-publishing his book which I imagine allows him to keep a much higher percentage of the profits. The downside is he has to do his own marketing. He seems to have very effectively figured this out by using viral marketing and the wonders of the internet to spread the word of his book through blogs. It is nice to see entrepreneurship alive and well." i love all the blowhards on this board. its always ammusing the guys with nothing positive to say are the ones who have made "all this money" and should have nothing to prove, yet they always have the most to prove. give me a break.
Fucking exactly man.. If you have what you want, there's no need to prove anything to anyone. Again, that's just a sign of mediocrity. Shit, I'm havig a rough ass year. I face 6 felony charges, had my car stolen, realized how dumb I was for working for a MLM company, got stabbed in the arm, and broke up with my g/f of 3 1/2 years all in this calendar year.. I've had a rough fucking year and all I can think about is helping other people.. Maybe 'success' or money will change me someday and all I'll do is talk about all the opportunities that were given to me and how I've become 'so great' that I was fortunate enough to turn them down. I hope to god I don't become like some of you on here. Some of you who brag about this and that probably have never seen a rough day in your life. And no blowing a head gasket in your Benz isn't considered a rough day.. Good for you for all your opportunities, i'm glad you have double digit returns for over a decade, I truly hope that it continues. The only thing that I ask of you is to not take it for granted. I've lived a life full of everyone telling me how much potential I have and how I'm destined for greatness. Well, life ain't so fucking great so far if you don't have appreciation for your special gifts. The second you think you're too good for this or that or better than the next person it can all be gone. Success is getting what you want, happiness is wanting what you get. Sadly, many of the more wealthy people on this board don't even truly know what they want out of life and they are just stuck with a bunch of benjamins but no real compassion for anyone. It's ok, because I will someday soon have all the money I ever cared to acquire. Not because of luck or because I('m smarter than everyone, or even because I want it.. Because damnit, I appreciate the great ones (the few that are here) and they help those who try their best. GL and GT to all..
The full title of the book is: âAn American Hedge Fund: How I Made $2 Million As A Stock Operator & Created A Hedge Fundâ gee which other stock operator would he be comparing himself to?
Easy. If you choose not to believe me, you can bet me $100K on it. Win or lose, it will force me to disclose who I am, and that will get me to leave this board. So if you want me off of this board, you should make the bet. PM me and we'll get the ball rolling. Remarkable frequency, I think not. Maybe 1% of my posts contain this info.
Oh, yeah, I make $100k bets all the time. Doesn't everybody? I'm guessing that somehow these wagers break down when attending to the minute details of the deal, assuming that it ever even gets that far. Oddly enough, I don't have a spare 100k lying around itching for something to do. However, such a challenge is a fairly easy bluff to make on the internet, isn't it? If you are a notable financial luminary, then by all means disclose yourself and let us praise you in all your splendor. As for the 100k, that's just haggling over price. Surely such an amount is trifling to someone of your stature. Don't let it stand between you and the recognition that you deserve. 1% of your posts, perhaps. Give or take. But they all seem to be in this thread, don't they? Bottom line: you are not presenting yourself as any less of a blowhard than those you accuse of the same conduct. For all I know, you may be the genuine article. But how could I possibly know that, and why should I assume it?
OK, I respect you for admitting that. We can bet $10K if you want. The minute details are very simple: I say I was featured in 2 of the most respected financial periodicals on Wall St. Period. That's the bet. I've stated over and over that I have zero interest in getting recognition on this board. Since ET is for entertainment purposes only, I prefer to play the wrestling villain, and let pikers take pot shots at me. It's more fun. I'm not like baby timmay looking to put his ugly mug out and sell books. i have zero to prove. BTW, my accurate and profitable predictions in the "trading' section speak for themselves
