Not "may"...they did in fact endorse him and not endorse someone else regardless to "your" volunteer group of voters being pissed with Biden. Climate groups around the world typically don't begin rallying behind politicians until a few months prior to the elections of each supporting country including the United States. That is why it was odd to see them get behind Biden so soon before the 2024 U.S. Presidential elections. Simply, you'll see changes in voters and they may even change their mind going into the DNC (may not be Biden) because someone else makes a better promise. Also, if I'm not mistaken, it was the DNC itself that turned down a sole debate with the Democratic candidates about climate change. In addition, I think all the candidates, including the progressives, had an emissions target of 2050. The top environmental organizations may see the emissions target of 2050 getting a better start with Biden until another candidate comes along regardless of what the voters wanted because we all know it is the endorses that quickly can change minds more than anyone else. My point is if climate voters truly believe what they talk & want, they'll put their weight behind the person & environmental organization they believe in that can get them closer to that emissions target of 2050 during the DNC first and then again in the Presidential elections... Those big environmental organizations carry a big stick to get their followers on the same page in the months before an election, especially as big lobbyists on Capitol Hill. wrbtrader
