    Read the following books:

What Color is Your Parachute? by Richard Bolles

How to Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci by Michael Gelb

Also do not rule out the possibility that it may indeed be psychological. A certain amount of introspection and re-assessment of one's life every so often is normal, but if it is getting you down or depressed, or you feel completely detached from life, please do consider professional counseling. Do not even consider feeling ashamed or hesistant.

You need to recover your enthusiasm for life. The book "Feeling Good" by David D. Burns, MD has a 10-min questionnaire that is used by professionals, as well as a great self-help plan. And Martin Seligman has done some wonderful work on affirmatively seeking happiness. Start at his website, www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu/

Is your life balanced? Do you exercise, have a social life, enjoy music or pets, volunteer or care for others, etc, etc.? Perhaps trading is just a way to pay the bills, but if you can make an ample living in a fairly short time each day, you will be free to LIVE LIFE the remainder of the time.

If all else fails, volunteer for a stint in a Third World country, or Iraq, or the slums of whatever city you live in. Dennis Prager says that gratitude is the essential ingredient of happiness, and most of us in the educated classes do not appreciate how fortunate we are.
