Hearing Chicago MERC trader commited suicide after blowing out

Imagine searching, heartbroken, for any bit of information you can collect about his death. You come across a traders forum, and see a variety of reactions to news of his suicide. Already in a fragile state of mind, you notice that some people have no regard or sympathy for your brother's death. You read about how people assume that he was fed with a silver spoon his entire life, that his wife was a gold digging cuntcurtain, and that he is "pathetic".

The reality of this is something I know, because this man IS my big brother. I am twenty-one years old, and 21 years is all the time I will ever have spent with him.

What is really pathetic:
1. Assumptions about his life, whether you knew him or not. Most of these comments come from people who never knew him personally. It is no one's place to judge another. What can you really say about someone that you don't know?

2. While I realize this is a forum for discussion, and there is nothing wrong with stating opinions in here, the judgemental comments are quite disrespectful.

This man was a son, husband, brother, and friend to many. He was real, and dealt with real problems, just like everyone else. Think about it. How would you feel if this story was not about my brother, but yours? Please have more respect for the death of another person, and for his family and friends. Please be considerate in the future when speaking on issues that are not a laughing matter.

I've worked with a lot of those guys at the bot and merc in the past in the pits, lot of them are just big teddy bears, very decent guys. Most came from nothing and paid their dues.

No disrespect to the 21 year who claims the deceased s@p trader was his brother but i have my doubts. The deceased trader is 44 and you're 21. Thats a hell of a span for a mother to have 2 kids.Regardless of wether the 21 year old is telling the truth its a huge tragedy.

littlesis, it surely seems that those who knew your brother, sincerely respected him! ... those that say they knew him spoke very highly of his character and his love...

My sincere condolences on your loss. I would have liked to know your brother, he seemed like a very kind, likable and honorable man. May your family heal, and only remember the good times... yes remember only those good times.

I am the youngest of seven in a blended family, actually. Joey is my half brother, technically speaking. We have different mothers. My father was married twice. My mother has four other daughters from her previous marriage. That has absolutely nothing to do with anything. By the way, I am his little sister.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I had the honor to work with and laugh with and smile at your brother for 8 years. I loved how he could no matter the time or the issue smile and smile. He would still to this day make me laugh even with a fast market or a bad day. I can only say I will miss him....I wish I could have been there for him, but i wasn't there intill late morning when i found out about what had happen. I know he was upset the day before and someone should have picked that up. I'm very sorry for your loss and i will miss the ZaZa dearly......My best to you and your family.......

Looks like you're looking for pity from strangers. Many view suicide as a sin or easy way out. Personally I don't know what I would do if I had lost so much money but hopefully I would find a reason to continue. Perhaps this is why some don't think so highly of the departed.

I'm sorry for your loss.
