Repeal is unlikely. Illegals becoming legal is next. Major changes to SSN coming after 2012. Sorry we're broke, taxes must go up while benefits go down will be the phrase of the decade. We frogs are being boiled, nice and slow like.
The whole thing does not have to be repealed to make it less bad. If their campaigns become difficult enough, they're less likely to vote for more unpopular legislation this year. They've already walked the plank for Obama once this year. Do what you can because that's all you can do. Is this your country or isn't it? Is this your life or isn't it? If you fight for it, then you may lose. If you don't fight for it, then you sill definitely lose.
http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2772575&highlight=lincoln#post2772575 Obviously. But look who chose to use that word, give it a different color, capitalize it and then use it again. Are you intentionally being obtuse, Angrycat? The dog-whistle politics around here is getting downright deafening. Index piker's little nod-and-wink routine does little to mask his blatant racism.
I think it does. The Big Brother aspect needs to be repealed if possible. Desirable features in this law can be included in a new bill without most of the bad stuff. The idea of health care "reform" would make great strides if only a half-dozen major provisions were enacted + proper repricing. That's what our health care law SHOULD have been... But of course, the Obamacare plan was never mostly about health care anyway.
No, not intentionally obtuse. I don't read Elite Trader regularly and literally didn't know. What I care least about is Barack Obama's or anyone else's race. Beloved members of my own family are African, Asian and Hispanic. But, it's also getting obnoxious that every time you disagree with this Obama, you get accused of racism.
No, not every time. Just when it's fairly obvious. I would think that someone with your family background, as you described it, would agree and would call out such racist assholes when they so generously identify themselves. And yet...I'm reminded of The Hound of the Baskervilles for some reason.
It's all part of the plan. Obama is the perfect guy for the radical left. Question or disagree him, and you're a racist! Look at all those angry white people out there protesting. That many angry whites...must be racism. One guy in a thousand has a sign saying I hate niggers, and that's the sign you'll see on a 24/7 loop. And you know what, they have argument that makes one take pause. The argument is, where were all these angry white folks when GW was running the country in to the ground? It's a legit question and make one think, could it be it's just because Obama is black? And that pause, that little bit of doubt will be exploited over and over again by the MSM. It's a tactic that works because it distracts from the fact that is does not matter who is asking the question, if the question is legitimate. So if a person asks, how does all this get paid for, it's a legit question, period, regardless of who asks it. They don't want to focus on the question, it's all about the identity of the person asking the question. When that happens, they win.
Perhaps it's because the other 999 surrounding that one guy seem to take him and his sign in stride. What does their lack of outrage tell you? Once again, The Hound of the Baskervilles goes for a walk.
It tells me you can't control every person in a crowd, but you can control the agrument if you continue to point out that one guy, and that's just what happens in every interview. Matthews, Olberman, Maddow, the rest will always ask about the one guy. Some Conservative will say that guy doesn't speak for us and the entire conversation will be about racism. End of interview, and the real questions never get asked or answered. Another victory for the left.
