  3. I did answer the question.....common sense and very obvious solutions ARE NOT a part of the overall agenda, so that is why they will never get any traction.

I doubt it. I'm sure Stupak knows the score. The One or Pelosi or who knows whom obtained some leverage. Dirty pictures, promise of supporting others during the primary, promises and threats on future legislation, there is an endless list of arms to twist to make this happen. Perhaps a combination of things - why choose between a carrot and a stick if you can use them both?

Regardless, we'll never know. But you can be sure there was whispering behind closed doors that led to that.

  7. Why didn't some of the "yes" voters say they would be a "no".. simply because it was not a bi-partisan bill, it was crafted behind closed doors, and the public was against the bill (by what, 3:1)?

If the elected representatives were actually representing their voters, there should have been enough "no" votes to prevent passage.

And.. all of this Executive Order business... waaaayyyy too much power in the hands of one man. Works to defeat the intended "checks and balances" objectives of our government structure.

Hopefully, hosed voters will remember all of this come November. Personally, I'd like to see every "yes" voter defeated soundly.

    promises: bring down cost
    increase access

reality: budgeted at just under one trillion $

to be paid for by $400+ billion new taxes

and $500+ billion health care provider cuts

result: raises cost of health care and lessens access
