He is sick of mind, impetuous, arrogant, belligerent and dangerous

  1. "In the Land of the Blind, even the person with just one eye is considered to be insane."

Trump might have just one eye. Nevertheless. The special case is that hillary lost.

  2. Am I personally being offensive and insulting to you AAAintheBeltway or are you referring to just Humphrey's concern?

Regan got through his presidency but he died, of Alzheimer's disease. People concerns were founded in reality but the disease can be quick or slow in progression.

In his core he (Regan) was a good guy, he was liked and respected by most. I once had a golf club chat with Tip O'Neil just after he retired and he respected him (the democrat Speaker). Regan said that if the whitehouse doctors declared him medically unfit, he would resign. I actually think he would have, I don't think Trump will.

However... the discussion is not Hillary/Trump whataboutism, it is about whether in 2017, when we have MRI scanners etc. so we can just see exactly what is up, do we accept the risk.

Dementia does not care about party. This is about risk management and conservatives used to be the perceived rational ones on this subject.

  3. Well none of that forced medical exam without a basis other than being older and having won the presidency while being republican is going to happen soon. Not to worry though. That is why you have Dr. Mueller.

Beginning to have a little bit of a lefty soviet feel to it. Witch-hunt from one angle and then start picking out "treatment facilities" and politically motivated diagnoses as a basis for ousting opponents. All of your alleged problems with his alleged symptoms would suddenly disappear if trump suddenly started supporting your political views. Can you spell Gulag boys and girls?

  4. Tony Stark

    Tony Stark

Greatest modern president? That fool set the precedent for modern day outrageous debts, deficits and military industrial complex spending. He was also quite liberal on some issues y'all whine about today like amnesty, creating the Obama phone and having some people not pay federal taxes.

  5. In zen they say answer the question you wished they asked. :) Political discussions also.

That is kind of a rabbit hole, I think that he was an honorable enough man, for a politician. I think if he was told he was dangerous, he would have resigned.. eventually.

If I were to make a comment either way* on his economic policy we would never get back to is suspected Altzeimer's something we need to have medically assessed.

*Ronald Reagan made America feel good about itself through debt fueled spending
HE came up with the slogan make America great again but its all borrowed and the bill has come due.

  9. I suppose more the latter but you saw fit to start a thread about it. The fact that you do not like someone or find his speech cadence annoying is not grounds to subject him to medical tests as a prelude to removal from office. Surely you must understand that the vast majority of Trump voters would see it as a coup, whatever some panel of doctors said.

I find it ironic that a congress populated by the likes of John McCain, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi and others who either have brain issues or are exhibiting signs thereof would be sitting in judgment on a president who has shown no such signs at all. He is a New York real estate mogul and is not a fan of nuanced communications. Deal with it.

  10. I disagree with you on Trump's mental state, we probably will not agree. I watched a lot of the apprentice UK and US. I never found Trump to be truly special but I recognise he has certain talents. I have observed him for a long time and I'm middle aged, my memory is good.

I have worked for three deca-billionaires, I've been around them in person off and on and engaged in lots of chit-chat. They are fairly normal men, they impress me but I do see behind the curtain as well.

I went off him personally, stopped watching The Apprentice, due to the way he dealt with the Aberdeen golf club. He was very bad to people IMO, lied, corrupted officials & police and for no good reason. From 2012, before the president stuff came to the fore.

All I can say is, I can see signs of significant degradation that match my own personal life experiences of dementia. I am good with patterns and it is not wishful thinking because I'm not a US liberal. I really did not like Hillary but for other reasons.

Pence reminds me of something from the "Handmaid's tale" (a bit) so I'm not whooping for him but you don't see dementia in Trump, I do. I'm usually right in my hunches I can say hand on heart, or in Pence terms, God guides me because he made me wealthy. ;)

For everyone's safety and peace of mind, have the surgeon general or whoever is appropriate check him out.
