Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

For the SLA/AMT, no. As I've said repeatedly, the SLA/AMT is a primer, for the beginner and the damaged. If one not only reads it but studies it, he can develop the habits required for any trader: (1) accepting the certainty of loss, (2) thorough preparation, (3) planning, (4) discipline, (5) patience, (6) data collection and maintenance. If he can't or won't do any of this, then it really doesn't matter what approach he pursues: he will fail.

Once one acquires and develops these habits and they become second-nature, there are of course nuances that become easy to incorporate as a result of the experience of trading behavior, e.g., the significance of and importance of double tops and bottoms (and higher lows and lower highs) or the importance of focusing on the median of a trend channel or trading range rather than the limits.

I post this, of course, not because I think you might be interested but because someone else might be. But you're welcome to continue to try to trip me up. The more people who read the thread, the better.

Actually, children understand this much better than adults do. These are charts drawn by a nine-year-old girl:

  3. Ok DB: I will send to you all the damaged dropout I know of.
I always assumed that it would be best they sort themselves out psychologically first,
but I'll tests them on you!!! :)

  5. I actually coach high school drop-out ( they mostly drop for family financial reasons).
What I have noticed is some can carry really heavy psychological loads from family trauma -
I have thought it was best these were sorted first.
This is why I posted the above.

I should also point out for those who might actually be sufficiently interested in this to read the material *gasp!* that reading and study is not nearly enough. One must also engage the material, not be content with watching and following and copying. If one leans toward the latter behaviors, he needs to find someone in a trading room who provides calls (there is no such thing as a "real-time" call on a message board). I'm sure there are at least some good ones out there.

But if one wants to become an independent trader, he must take hold of the material and trade it and make it his own, whether by developing his own plan or by following the SLA/AMT. While many are content to follow and copy somebody else, this is not only expensive but ultimately unsatisfactory.

but i tell u what , if i have a conversation with each and everyone of them i notice within the first three sentences spoken by anyone.. if he has what it takes to master life or if he needs further guidance, which the later is actually hard work for both of us...

i hope u dont do it for the monies.. and treat everyone independently ....

  9. Not for money. But great benefits in learning about human mind.
Try it yourself : you'll see significant improvement in yourself as well.
The benefits are much greater than one would expect.
