Have we evolved at all technologically these last decades?

    And yet, life spans are increasing each year. I am would rather face ANY health related disease or injury today versus 1954.

    Progress is one thing and application is another thing. As someone told me "It is easy to criticize or complain, but when you sit on my chair then be prepared to solve the problems". Hence, maybe we are ignorant of the exact situations and circumstances and commenting on what could be done or not without being there actually?

    I've been saying this for a long time now, technology seems to be stuck.

    The only place where technology to me seems to be advancing at a great rate is in medical science. Look at the machines we've got in hospitals now versus 20 years ago as a good example.

    But in the non-medical world we've had the internet and a few other things over the last 20 years, that's about it. Plus, I'm using a good computer with a good connection and it still sometimes takes up to 5 seconds to load a basic website - no difference from 15 years ago.

    Where are the flying cars, where are the decent robots, where are the things that used to make us all go 'wow'?
