Have Roth IRA with a broker. Can I move half of it to another broker? or all or none?

  1. Can only a portition of a Roth IRA account, say half the account for example, at a discount broker be transferred to another broker without any penalties?

Or does the whole Roth IRA need to move as a unit?

PS: I just did the conversion from a regular IRA to a ROTH IRA a couple months ago. So does that matter as well?

You can transfer to another broker as many times as you like. It can be all or part of the money.
  3. Does anything need to be sent to the IRS about the transfer?

Is there anything to be careful of if I want to transfer 1/2 my Roth IRA account balance to another broker?
