  6. It doesn't matter what the market conditions are - the majority of people will always lose.

  7. yay 6000th post

this market is like a whipsaw. The best buying opportunities usually follow a shakeout.

  8. You are absolutely right, and in there lies the seed of the answer to become part of the minority that makes the money.

I nailed the tops to the minute for Monday, Wednesday (this one was not to the minute), and Thursday? Do you think I would be in the minority or the majority?

Also in my threads, the majority was against me, and the minority was a minority.

The majority reached a peak on Tuesday end of day, and Wednesday morning (in the area of the top!).

If you do not believe me, read my threads, pull a chart, and you will see. I am writing this to boast, but just to provide an evidence that the majority is wrong and can be tested even here on ET.

  9. That is the reason why you lost money: you are always long ( which translates over time to always wrong :D )

Do not you remember coming to my threads and writing all sort of things about going long when I advice to go short? You were among those writing that my short calls are not correct (before facts it is fine to argue) EVEN AFTER the market showed that three days of last week among 4 days, my calls came at those day's highs? The one of Tuesday came in when NDX was at 1985, and it closed at 1960 on Friday (it is still a winner even if not at the top of the day).

  10. Absolutely true.

I've managed well with a covered call strategy and even more so with an index futures strategy.

This was a very precarious period. I am up 13.73% YTD and I am not a daytrader.

    pS

Not sure how honest people will be, but a thread should be started to determine what % gains were made (lost) in 2007.
