Go buy some real estate and get a roof of your own. Stop bouncing checks on landords and little old ladies.
I can tell you right now from first hand experience that buyers with 720+ credit scores and even 10% to 19% down are having trouble being approved for mortgages on new homes/condos. Real estate development is what I do, so this is not some BS; it's really the situation that I see with my own two eyes right now. The great 'ownership' society looks like it will have to give way to a whole lot more rentals and leases.
