  2. And you looked at every single one? I think you may have a case if absolutely no where throughout the course of the day showed you had a position open.

Don't just sit on your ass and do nothing about it. Holler and bitch until your broker is at least aware of the egregious mistake that they are responsible of fixing!

Here are some of the steps you can take before proceeding to arbitration or litigation (yes, I suggest you threaten your broker that you will sue them for the damage. You have nothing to lose.):

First of all, file a complaint with the SEC (http://www.sec.gov/complaint.shtml), then follow up by making another complaint with your State Attorney General's office (http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/ag-complaint-forms.html). Also file a grievance at the FINRA's Investor Complaint Center (http://finra.org/complaint). In addition, lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbbonline.org/consumer/complaint.asp) as well as the FTC (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/).

    Be aggressive!

Alot of the platforms people use to trade futures on are terribly antiquated and full of bugs. Its unbelievable that people use them to trade their hard earned money. I'm not sure so much you should blame the broker as you should blame the software provider/ licensor. "Ghost orders" are wholeheartedly unacceptable and any software vendor who licensees a product that is subject to them is negligent.

    Who do you trade with?

And yes, I can see the limit getting filled so quickly in a fast moving market, that the OP didn't know it happened. However, the problem is they didn't show him having a position until the next day. Some of these brokerages...

  9. I've seen some guys get refunds after they came on ET and raised hell. Gave the broker some negative feedback. But in your case, you don't mention the broker name, kinda like you're protecting them. I think you're acting like a complete wuss. I'd say you need to forget about it, don't fight it, just take this bitter medicine like a big boy. LOL!

It sounds like your platform failed by the way. Nothing on your audit trail. I'd be fighting this one all the way. I don't care what your agreements say. You think signing an agreement waives your rights against gross negligence??? Think again.
