CR is no better thsn BBB. Bought few big ticket items, when I was moving into new house based on their reviews-nothing, but the trouble....

I never had a bad steer from CR. Are you sure you aren't mixing up CR with Consumer Digest or one of the other copycat magazines? I remember the first big ticket item recommended by CR that I went to buy. I made the mistake of mentioning CR and the store owner started going on and on about how I shouldn't trust GoodHousekeeping, as if it was the same thing as CR. I didn't argue, just smiled, paid for my item and left.

I had a business back in 2010 that was unrelated to trading. We were contacted by the BBB to buy a membership. Any business can buy a membership and than claim BBB on the website, door, counter. I laughed so hard.

  4. Recently, I watched a documentary about the BBB. Lots of business owners came forward and stated how the BBB would black mail them into paying them for high ratings. They stated that the BBB would approach them and threaten to give them a low rating if they didn't pay them a certain amount. They also went on to say that anyone could pay for a high rating.

Is there any government agency that isn't a complete scam?

The BBB is not a government agency. Why did you just jump to that conclusion?

Btw, the USPS is a decent government agency that is now being systematically destroyed by the ongoing criminal enterprise known as the GOP.

  7. It's the exact same thing that Yelp has been accused of by numerous small business owners.

  9. Sounds like the Big Mike Trading forum whose Bozo in Chief hides behind a porn star identity of Big Mike and, as an inept trader and sleazy peddler of dubious trading goods, never had any credibility among those with an IQ of at least 90.

  10. You are right. It's a sham business run by people who usurp themselves a right to judge others while having no credibility or integrity to do so in the first place. And you pay to lend credibility to them.

    Total joke!

Same shit as Big Mike and his forum run by a guy who is a vendor and usurps himself a right to evaluate other vendors.

If you add to this all the manipulation going on there (e.g. Harald Steinhaus aka Fat Tails was hiding that he was a vendor while bashing his competitors), you have a profoundly pathological environment.

Clearly this guy either does not understand the conflict of interest or does not care about it. Either way makes his business a dubious proposition not unlike the BBB or even worse.
