I've noticed the slant towards the left from Drudge. Not saying it is good or bad, but it has become increasingly obvious.
The drudge model isn’t very complicated, take a news story and put a headline on it that fits a right wing narrative. Most people who look at drudge read the headline and spend less than 30 seconds at the original story when they click it, if they even click it. Those misleading headlines coupled with tabloid and non credible sources helped build the modern Trump Republicans. Now drudge and other Republicans media types, pols, operatives, etc are in horror of the monster they built a la Mary Shelly. There is no basis to the Republican Party as a result. Immigration policies don’t make sense, gun policy is nonexistent, debt and deficits aren’t given a second thought, the failures go in and on and it’s because of the phony headlines and non credible sources of people like Matt Drudge. So now drudge is appalled at the monster he helped create and the “towns people” are turning on him.
I hope you appreciate the irony of using the exact same complaints republicans have against the mainstream liberal media. Bias and fake news. Your real complaint is that Drudge, like Rush Limbaugh, developed a massive audience even as people ignored mainstream media.
our tax payer dollars are on it: https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump...impeachment-asks-jared-kusher-to-look-into-it Trump Privately Frets ‘What’s Going on With Drudge?’ During Impeachment, Asks Jared Kusher to ‘Look Into It’ One of the most powerful media organs in the conservative movement hasn’t been kind to the president during impeachment. He’s noticed. “What’s going on with Drudge?” Trump has been asking allies since Democratic lawmakers launched the impeachment probe in late September, according to a person with knowledge of his private remarks. Two other sources who’ve heard the president complain told The Daily Beast that Trump has asked those close to him why they think Drudge and his website have seemed “so anti-Trump” lately. In recent weeks, Trump has even asked Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and a top White House official—who has had a friendly relationship with the site’s creator—to “look into it” and reach out to Drudge, the sources said.
