I found a tv show I was looking for with the help of some on the forum. I now have a follow up question - the format of the file is MKV. I've been all over google the last couple days trying to figure out how to turn this file into something that can be burnt to a DVD. I was hoping with the computer folks we have here that someone could help out. Here's what I found so far... Main MKV site - http://www.matroska.org/index.html The problem is there doesn't appear to be one easy-to-use program that I can plug these MKV files into and be done. You would think so, but nothing that I have found. It doesn't help that there's dead links on their website. Thanks!!!!!
THE go-to place for something like this is VideoHelp. A large, active, helpful online community, too. For a 1-step solution, search for "MKV to DVD" - 5 results: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool...hits=50&convert=MKV+to+DVD&dvdauthorfeatures= For a 2-step solution, you would do an "MKV to" search - 10 results. Many reviews of each tool and step-by-step guides available.
Update - this software - http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ - is incredible for what I needed. I just put the file in make some text changes if I want and off it goes. No need for extra codecs and stuff like that, it's one simple and easy solution. Highly recommend (so far).
