Has anyone used Scottrade's Optionsfirst?

  1. My apologies if this is the wrong forum.

Anyone used this? I was interested in writing cash secured puts and I just found out my regular Scottrade account, while approved for options, won't allow this. You can only sell covered calls and buy puts and calls with Scottrade. They told me I have to have an OptionsFirst account to sell puts.

    How is Optionsfirst?

  2. Never have and never would.

    Outright robbers.

Options are $7 a ticket plus $1.25 per contract. 100% of order flow is sold.

  3. Who would you recommend then for options trading (where you're allowed to do cash secured puts) and also stock trading (assume a few hundred to a few thousand shares of SPY on average)?

I'd like to keep everything under one brokerage, and I assume I have to if I'm going to be writing puts in case they get exercised.
