Hey everyone, I was curious to find out if anyone here has opened an Investment firm in Canada, or knew someone who has? I know you must go through the IDA, but I am having a hard time getting someone to call me back. So if you have any knowledge on that subject, please let me know. Thanks, take care. -Kastro
The IDA is not in the business of giving advice to non-members. That said... Becoming a member of the IDA is very doable... Just meet the requirements and you are in. Then welcome to Regulatory Hell... Dim-witted, masochistic beaurocrats looking up you a**hole... And making you jump through flaming hoops. Doing some thorough research on the net... Will probably help you a lot more than a securities lawyer... Though you will need a good one, plus an auditor, for the long haul.
